A truly interactive H20pen House spotlighting H20's leaders, clients and community!

On June 4th, 2025, the "Great Room" at the W Hotel in Hollywood was transformed for one night into a buzzing community hub!
In addition to hearing updates about the latest progress and impact of the Hollywood 2.0 program, the 100+ attendees had the opportunity to participate in H20 community-building activities, and to interact directly with H20's team leaders, providers, and community partners -- as well as the clients and members the program has been serving for the last 3 years!
For those who missed it, we're happy to share this recap of the whirlwind program (you can also see our recap of the event here on Instagram — and feel free to like, follow and share to your heart's content!):

• The night kicked off with some truly activated Resource tabling– big thanks to the participating Providers from Anew Dawn Adult Living, APAIT-SSG, The Center in Hollywood, Fountain House Hollywood Clubhouse, Heart Forward LA, Pacific Clinics, RAND Corp and of course our H20 partners at LA County Department of Mental Health– and a lot of engagement from the buzzing attendees.
• Special kudos go to H4WRD's own Clarissa Raguindin for arranging the resource table's "passport" activity (in addition to all her stellar prep work the last two months leading up to the event) and to Jim from Amoeba Music for providing the passport prize of a $50 gift certificate and lots of Amoeba goodies!
• Opening remarks from H4WRD's Brittney who reminded attendees that H20 is in the process of bringing game-changing community-based care to Hollywood AND that the program's continued evolution needs everyone's participation. (See below for video opening remarks from Supervisor Lindsey Horvath and LACDMH's Clinical Director, Dr. Curley Bonds.)

• H20 Program Managers Karla Bennett and Carolyn Kaneko took the podium to let folks know what the impact of that community-based care looks like in real time and in real numbers:
◦ 5753 clients served at the Hollywood Mental Health Cooperative clinic;
◦ 56 and 46 clients housed respectively at H20's Interim Housing assets, The Mark Twain and the Walk of Fame Hotel
◦ 91 clients housed in H20's Permanent Supportive Housing at Anew Dawn Board & Care
◦ 59 clients housed through H20's project-based housing

◦ Our partners at Pacific Clinics offered a sneak peek of H20’s Supported Employment services coming next year!
The program also included a video interview with a panel of mental health specialists from Trieste, filmed during their recent visit to Hollywood + awesome videos from H20 Providers, Clients, and Clubhouse members! (see videos below!)

Last but not least the program featured a couple of engagement exercises that allowed attendees to offer their reflections on the H20 program and how they saw the program making a difference in Hollywood. (See photo above). As one attendee reflected:
“Care Happens Here when... I feel seen and supported by my whole community!”

As promised, here are the videos that "premiered" at the 6/4 event. Big thanks again to all the H20 leaders, providers, clients and Clubhouse members who helped make these videos so special, and to the amazing team of Alexa and Eric Hann for their amazing work on these videos!
