SELAH Neighborhood Homeless Coalition is a 501(c)(3) organization of neighborhood organizers who recognize unhoused individuals as fellow members of our community worthy of the same dignity, respect and representation afforded to any housed person.Our mission is to build a community-led response to homelessness in Los Angeles that addresses the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors and activates an empowered coalition of participants, volunteers and partners.

Volunteers will help with distributing clothing and personal hygiene essentials directly to those in need at our service location. Project Ropa staff will be on-site at all times during services.

We have two service locations in Hollywood:

Join us on Fridays at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Hollywood from 10:30am-1:30pm to distribute clothing and hygiene essentials to those in need at our grab and go service. The address is: 6657 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90028.

Join us on the last Tuesday of the month from 8:30am-12:30pm at The Day of Hope to distribute clothing and hygiene essentials to those in need with our mobile clothing closet. The address is: 4903 Fountain Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90029.

All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Project Ropa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates the only mobile clothing closet of its kind for people in need in Los Angeles. Our mission is to reduce textile waste and restore dignity by providing clothing and hygiene essentials to those in need, while advocating for clothing to be recognized as an essential human right.

We are seeking volunteers to help rescue food around Los Angeles for the missions at Serve

LA. Even a small time commitment can contribute significantly to the holistic health of our

community. We have two volunteer roles that need your help: Morning Food Rescue Driver,

7:00AM-11:00AM and Morning Food Rescue Ride-Along, 7:00AM-11:00AM.

Our goal is to be more than a meal, more than a shower, more than any of our services—but a ministry where we witness countless examples of how the compassion of Jesus changes everything.

We are seeking volunteers to sort and organize food donations between 10:30am and 12:30pm.

We are seeking volunteers to attend our outreach events and represent the NAMI Glendale chapter in a positive and welcoming manner. Volunteers must be willing to help with set up, bringing materials, sharing information about local mental health resources, and teaching people about our free and confidential mental health programming. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation's largest grassroots organization for people affected by mental illness. What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979 has blossomed into an alliance of more than 600 local affiliates who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education.

We are seeking volunteers to help support our shower program from 8:45am to 11:45am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As a shower attendance, tasks will include greeting guests, distributing water bottles, hygiene supplies, clothing, and disinfecting shower rooms between guest showers.

Healthcare in Action provides medical, behavioral health, addiction, case management and housing navigation services to unhoused residents in California. Our mission is to improve the lives of people experiencing homelessness through quality holistic care. It is our vision that all people experiencing homelessness have access to quality healthcare that addresses their mental, social and physical health needs.

We are seeking volunteers to help support our drop-in programming by distributing food, clothing, and hygiene products to participants. Hollywood distribution takes place the first and third Sundays of every month, from 12:30pm-4:30pm. Visit our site to learn more about opportunities.

We are seeking volunteers to help us prepare for our on-site events and initiatives during the upcoming holiday season. Duties include (but are not limited to) outreach to local businesses for in-kind support with our holiday food baskets, care kits, and gifts for children. PATH's mission is to end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities. We provide a variety of services for our neighbors experiencing homelessness, including employment, outreach, homelessness prevention, housing navigation, interim housing, rapid rehousing, and permanent supportive housing.
