Hollywood 2.0 Update: Clinic Grand Opening

The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) proudly opened the doors this week to its new Hollywood Mental Health Cooperative, a cornerstone of the innovative Hollywood 2.0 initiative. The new clinic unites outpatient services, Full Service Partnership programs and field based teams in one welcoming, collaborative space—bringing a holistic, person-centered approach to care right into the heart of Hollywood.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 featured inspiring remarks and heartfelt reflections from community and county leaders:

  • Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors
  • Dr. Lisa H. Wong, Director, Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health
  • Karla Bennett and Carolyn Kaneko, Hollywood Mental Health Cooperative
  • Jazmine Garcia Delgadillo, Health Deputy for Supervisor Hilda Solis
  • Hope Davis, HMHC Participant

Dr. Wong described the new facility as “a beacon of opportunity,” emphasizing its role in transforming local mental health services and strengthening partnerships across the Hollywood community.

The program closed with a moving testimonial and performance by Hope, an HMHC participant whose song filled the space with hope, gratitude, and joy—beautifully capturing the event’s spirit of renewal.

A very special THANK YOU to DMH's Damien Parker and the ASB Capital Projects team of Carolina Esparza, Nancy J. Reyes and James Evanko who helped bring the vision of the new clinic to life.

The new clinic is at 5419 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90027
