Volunteers will help with distributing clothing and personal hygiene essentials directly to those in need at our service location. Project Ropa staff will be on-site at all times during services.
We have two service locations in Hollywood:
Join us on Fridays at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Hollywood from 10:30am-1:30pm to distribute clothing and hygiene essentials to those in need at our grab and go service. The address is: 6657 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90028.
Join us on the last Tuesday of the month from 8:30am-12:30pm at The Day of Hope to distribute clothing and hygiene essentials to those in need with our mobile clothing closet. The address is: 4903 Fountain Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90029.
All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Project Ropa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates the only mobile clothing closet of its kind for people in need in Los Angeles. Our mission is to reduce textile waste and restore dignity by providing clothing and hygiene essentials to those in need, while advocating for clothing to be recognized as an essential human right.




We are seeking volunteers to help bundle bags of food at our Food Pantry. Volunteers prepare the bags on Wednesdays from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, and they are distributed the next morning, from 8am to 9am, to people who are unhoused or living in the neighborhood without access to a kitchen.
St. James' In-The-City Episcopal Church celebrates over 100 years of respecting the dignity of every human being.




We are seeking volunteers to help us conduct street outreach. Volunteers visit our unhoused neighbors at encampments around our area, building relationships and connecting them to the services and supplies they need. Hollywood outreach takes place the first and third Sundays of every month, from 12:30pm-4:30pm. Visit our site to learn more about opportunities.

We are seeking volunteers to help us prepare for our on-site events and initiatives during the upcoming holiday season. Duties include (but are not limited to) outreach to local businesses for in-kind support with our holiday food baskets, care kits, and gifts for children. We are seeking volunteers to join us in the kitchen during our Thursday Cookfest. From 4:30pm to 6:30pm, volunteers prepare hot dishes that will be served at our Friday and Saturday Soup Kitchen.
